[en] Yidan (Xi\u2019an, b. 1998) is a Chinese-born, london-based designer, writer, and researcher. She works across art, architecture, geography, and media studies, with a focus on how ideas move between places, languages, and forms. She studied at the University of Colorado Boulder’s department of environmental design and Columbia University’s graduate school of architecture, planning & preservation. Her projects explore the meaning of translation in a broad sense\u2014between people, tools, and ways of seeing. She is currently a European research council grant funded PhD student at SOAS, University of London.\u00a0Her doctoral research investigates how Chinese capital reshapes the Parisian urban imagination through the lens of the fashion industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
